Ethnicities and the Gospel

“Discrimination; biggot; racist.” We hear these words all the time. They are the buzz words of the current mainstream media. The accepted narrative is that white supremacy is seen in every aspect of Western Culture, including the Church. The American Church in particular has become the target of the vitriol and hatred of many and is seen as a weapon in the hand of racists and xenophobes.

God, however, will have none of that in His Church. The church His Son has bought by His blood is made of up every race, color, and gender. The heavenly vision of John in the Revelation shows it clearly:

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; Revelation 7:9

One day, this vision will be our reality. For now, we must strive to make it a reality in our churches.
